Ladies and Gents,

I have also been researching Iron Range and if anyone is looking for information on the area, I would suggest they contact Roger Marks. His Website is members.dodo.com.au/qaww2

I spent a couple of hours recently with Roger and he is almost certainly the most knowledgeable person I have come across, when it comes to the "Range".

Bonnie, I would really appreciate any photos you have of LITTLE EVA, which I presume is the Crosson aircraft (41-23762)that crashed at Moonlight Creek. Some may not be aware that this was a second LITTLE EVA. The first was 41-23772, which was shot down over the Bismarck Sea with only the co-pilot Norman Smith surviving.

I have visited Sid Beck's Museum at Mareeba where the wreckage of LITTLE EVA's tail turret, one engine/prop and undercarriage assy are on display. I was also fortunate enought to be shown other items in stoarge including her Data Plate. If anyone wants photos of these items, let me know and I will email them.

Regards

Pete
