I just want to say to any surviving WW2 veterans..please for your grandchildren and children please write things down that you experienced during the war. My dad rarely talked about it. He died 2 years ago. I have photos and medals and very few stories about the war. They all seem to have the same personality and dont want to talk about it. My dad refused to be interviewed and someone wanted to come all the way from australia to do so about the IRON RANGE. I have some war letters from him to his family, I threatened my mother NOT TO BURN ANYTHING ELSE. She went and destroyed her love letters from Dad during the war. My dad knew the flying ace Major Bong, and thats history! Ok I am done.
