I don't know your grandfather, but my Great-Uncle, Red Schnurr, was the ball-turret gunner on Twin Niffties and Twin Niffties II.
My uncle Red was on Twin Niffties when she went down in the sea. He survived and was rescued.
If you could scan some pics of the plane and send them to me, I'd really appreciate it!
