In the book "Legacy of the 90th Bombardment Group." Their is no mention of a Hoffman, but Saul Cohen is mentioned twice. once on the mission in May of 1945, running out of gas and ditching, all but two where picked up. page 180, and on page 194 listed as flying back to the U.S. in plane number 44-50570. It does say that all planes (except Cohen's) returned from that mission from page 180.

I am trying to track down my Dad Arthur D Hoffman, I think he was part of the 400th but not sure. I do know he ditched along with Saul Cohen's crew the end of May 1945 and two crew members were lost. ... more
