Thank you for your recent response. After I returned home,
(NYC)
I called Edwins' parents and went to their home in Brooklyn. Edwins sister and both parents were present.
I gave them a picture of the Breedlove crew and told them that the plane had blown up on takeoff. I just spoke to John Bronenkant,bombadier,on my plane and he confirmed the
circumstances...all were lost except one man who was blown
free of the plane.John remembered that religious services
were held for all the crew.

    Question...Did your grandparents live in Brooklyn at the time that Edwin was reported lost? If so, I believe he was a bombardier on the Breedlove(pilot) crew in the 400th squadron.His tent was next... more
