I know my Dad is planning on the Washington DC trip to the dedication with my nephews taking him. I dont think he is aware of the mini-reunions. He would be in the eastern section. He may go if Whitlock attends. He likes to see his buddies that he knew. If you do a search on Joseph Broschart on the internet, there is a news article on him when he received another Silver Star a few years ago. I do have newspaper clippings that belonged to my grandma about dad. The rabaul attack was the only specific incident mentioned. The other articles were notices of his decorations, and war wound and discharge. I will ask him if I can copy them and send them out. I will let you know. I dont think he will mind. But you know dads, I need to ask.

      thanks Bonnie, I would assume the Western and Eastern means the west and eastern parts of the US? If so, who is hosting the eastern, and are they looking for a place to host. thanks

        Yes, Eastern and Western refers to those particular 'halves' of the US, however, anyone wanting to attend either is more than welcome. What state are you in? Watch this site and I will find details... more
