You listed the names Balotsky and Manion.
No planes found but in a JOLLY ROGERS book a "Manion" was listed as a missionary that was killed by the Japanese for helping the crew of a downed bomber on an island. The crew survived and made in back to New Guinea. And Balotsky was present at the end of the war when the Japanese flew in on a "Betty bomber" to surrender.
My father looked up the information for you.
