Message: Greetings from Nampa Idaho!
The 90th Bomb Group is near and dear to the hearts of me and my family. We are at this time gathering signitures on a petition to bring the remains of Sgt Carol Domer home to the United States for a proper military burial. The petition is sponsered by the 90th Bomb Group Association.
On January 1, 1943, a 90th bomb group B24 Liberator named Crosair crashed in the Solomon Sea as a result of engine failure following a bombing mission. All but one of the crew members escaped the wreckage before it sank.
In January 2002 the remains of Sgt Carol Domer the only crew member to not escape, were found in the wreckage of Crosair located in approximately 90 ft. of water off the coast of Kawa Island of the Lusancay Island group.
The UNITED STATES ARMY CENTRAL IDENTIFICATION LABORATORY, HAWAII, was made aware of the find in early 2002, and stated they would incorporate the case into their operations plan for next year.
It is time for Sgt. Carol Domer to come home.
Please join the 90th Bomb Group Association in this petition to expedite the recovery of Sgt. Carol Domer and return him home for a proper military burial.
If you would be willing to support this petition, please go to the link below. Thank you in advance for your time. Please, share this with your friends. Let's not let another year go by. I believe there was a promise to bring our boys home. Although it is 60 years later, Sgt. Domer remains still a boy. Thank you,
Bonnie
