Message No. 1144Message:
B24D called "50 Cal Gal" with 10 man aircrew, fate unknown. Does anybody know anything about this aircraft and crew? There is one photo on the internet and I have gone to an Air Corps historian, but find nothing. I want to pay tribute to these guys and their aircraft with a paint job going on to my homebuilt RV and need info. Info says "320 squadron, serial 41-23759 or 42-41233, fate unknown" is all I have. Photo shows over 40 small "bombs" painted on the side pointing down, assume it had over 40 missions. Must have been in the Pacific? Please help if you can. Thanks!
