In some of my Grandads photos he has a picture of a B-24 tail with the skull and cross bombs adn the tail number only list 3 digits. 956 would anyone happen to know anything about this aircraft or who the ground crew might have been? My grandad was a mechanic sgt. His discharge papers have him in the 85th airdrome squadron. But also in his pictures is him sitting on a P-40 with the caption of the 1st ship i worked on over here. Any input would be appreciated.
